PHYSICAL THERAPY
Here at Salem Sports & Spine (SSS) Physical Therapy we use an osteopathic or manual (hands on) approach. The focus of our manual approach is to improve the balance and function of your musculoskeletal system. It is interrelated and intertwined with all of the other systems in your body.

Each client receives a comprehensive evaluation by a licensed physical therapist. Each individual assessment includes looking at the client’s lifestyle, as well as mental and physical aspects of their injury. Then individual goals are set that will enable the client to return to previous levels of activity and/or improved performance.

The Musculoskeletal System
The musculoskeletal system comprises over 60 percent of the human body.  Because it is  intertwined with  the nervous, circulatory, and endocrine systems of the body it is vital to address all of the systems as a whole.

The philosophy of the SSS is to look at each client as a whole.  Diagnosis is based on the discovery of asymmetries, limitations in movement, and changes in tissue texture. Physical therapy is a process that can restore maximum pain free movement of the musculoskeletal system.

What we expect from you
In order for a client to reach maximum healing or performance, strict adherence to the program set before him/her is vital. No, intervention is successful without a client’s commitment to follow the physician’s orders and the physical therapy plan. Home programs should be followed and pertinent lifestyle changes made.
